Tampa Bay is filled with many unique places to visit, but there’s one place that takes exploring to next level.

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) sits right on the outskirts of Clearwater Beach, with amazing views, surrounded by water. It is filled with tons of tips and tricks in keeping the oceans clean, education about fish and their habitat, and practice’s the three “R’s” (Rescue, Rehabilitation, Release.) The Clearwater Aquarium is a non-profit organization that prides in bringing sick and injured animals to health.

What makes CMA very unique is that it is the home to three dolphin’s: Winter, Hope and Nicholas. Winter the dolphin stars in both Dolphin Tale movies that were shot at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Winter has a prosthetic tail after an injury she had endured, and you can see and feel one just like her’s at CMA. Hope was introduced in Dolphin Tale 2.

On behalf of the mommy spot, I took my family to visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium this past weekend for our first time! We really enjoyed ourselves, and seeing our son Sebastian (2) having so much fun brought smiles to our faces; Encouraging great family bonding time!

They have interactive things for the kids to do throughout the day, and many presentations where the kids get to learn more about the wildlife the CMA staff cares for. They also have a stingray petting area! Other animals you can find there include: pelicans, sea turtles, otters, and many more!

Learning about how to keep Dolphins from getting sunburned if they’re beached and need help.

On February 8th-14th, CMA will be offering admission to kids 12 and under for $9.99 who bring a Valentine’s Day card for any of their rescued animals.

This special is great, especially if you’re looking to incorporate the holiday with something interesting and fun for the kids to do. There will be entertaining crafts and activities for the kiddos to do also!

Be sure to head to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium this Valentine’s Day and everyday!

Warmly,

YYM
