I never got around to making a goals and aspirations board this year but thought I’d share with you what I’m hoping to achieve entering into the new year!

Last year one of my goals for myself was to read at least one book a month. Well that never happened, so I’m adding that goal to my list again except instead of once a month, finish one book every two months! Getting very realistic with myself in 2019.

Since being pregnant and having my baby girl this past year, one of my main goals is to lose 20/25 lbs. I’ll save my reasoning and progress for later posts, but I would like to weigh 130 by the end of 2019.

Along with losing the baby weight and getting strong again, I’d like to make it to the gym at minimum 2-3 days a week. Being a stay at home mom of two is very time consuming (full –time job of its own), and finding the time to get fit is tough. Working out after having a baby starts at home since baby can’t be watched by many gym daycares until they’re at least 3-6 months old.

I’d like to enroll my son in school by the end of 2019. Even though it seems like a given, he really doesn’t have to start until he’s three or four years old. The waitlists for school are super long here in the Tampa Bay Area and touring is so time consuming. I’ve started the process, but haven’t finished my search for the perfect fit for my son yet.

I’d like to work on being more positive and happy. Attitude is everything, and although life gets crazy, busy, and challenging at times I want to find myself smiling through the tough days and keeping a strong mind.

Spend more time with my hubby. He works a lot and we are both always so tired. When it comes to quality time, we are both just so exhausted that it just ends up not happening. Relationships need to be nurtured and cared for, so I’m hoping to get more date nights in throughout the coming year.

Lastly, one of my goals is to make YYM posts at least 1-2 times a week. Since having my baby 3 months ago, I haven’t been as active with blogging. As the weeks go on though, I’m managing my time better and I look forward to sharing more with my readers.

(This year I have been given the opportunity to be a blog contributor to the Mommy Spot of Tampa Bay. This is something I am very grateful for and look forward to starting in 2019. I will be writing posts geared toward their demographic every other month, and attending events throughout our community. More details to come.)
