As parents (moms in this case) we struggle everyday deciding if we are doing what’s best for our children. Education is one that I have contemplated in the sense that I’m not sure I want my babies to attend public school, private school, a Goddard School, should I tackle homeschooling/unschooling? There are so many options and decisions to be made as my son is reaching that age where he could potentially start school.

For the past few months now, I have also been using Education.com to have some sort of curriculum and school-like structure for my son.

Education.com is offering a Limitless Learners Contest to six students who’s ages range from kindergarten-5th grade. The contest encourages children to express what education means to them through art, writing, and language skills. Once you have applied for your child they will be in the running to win $500 towards future education expenses, a $1,000 donation toward their school or library, and a premium Education.com membership for their educator. Summer is upon us, and the kids are out of school! Maybe you are trying to figure out how to keep your kid(s) occupied for the summer, without having them glued to the TV, while also maintaining some sort of structure?

Everyday, week, moment I think about social media and how it has consumed my world and the world of most people. It’s become a constant battle for me to separate social from reality. I’ve also struggled with letting people know vulnerable, personal things about me and my life. Sometimes I don’t even want to post or write because I’m afraid of what others will think of me. It has to be “aesthetically pleasing to the eye”, a “highlight reel” or you’ll lose followers and not get enough “likes.”
